HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was arrested for DUI and driving without a valid license after a wrong-way crash on State Road 39 early Christmas morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The crash occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. on December 25, 2024. A Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by Flor Tulia Perez Roblero, 45, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of SR-39.
As the roadway transitioned into a divided highway north of Knights Griffin Road, Perez Roblero failed to stay to the right and collided nearly head-on with a Kia Sorento driven by a 68-year-old woman.
Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
An investigation revealed that Perez Roblero was driving under the influence. She provided a breath sample registering a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.108, above the legal limit of 0.08. Authorities also determined that Perez Roblero did not have a valid driver’s license.
FHP Troopers later arrested Perez Roblero on charges of DUI involving injury and driving without a valid license. She was transported to the Hillsborough County Jail.
